9 new ULFA hit-men on most wanted list

For over five years since the Assam Police came up with a website, its “most wanted” list had the usual names. ULFA commander-in-chief Paresh Barua and chairman Rajib Rajkonwar alias Arabinda Rajkhowa and NDFB chairman Ranjan Daimary alias DR Nabla.

On Friday, nine new names of the outfit’s dreaded hit-men were uploaded on the website. “These men have been assigned by the ULFA leadership to carry out subversive attacks across the State,” said IGP (Law and Order) Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta.

These nine are Hitesh Roy, Basa Singh, Akon Moran, Bimal Kalita, Pinku Phukan, Swadhin Roy, Upen Borgohain, Rajani Kanta Singha and Pulak Bharali.
