The Court refused to grant a stay following extradited gangster Abu Salem withdrawing his application challenging the TADA court order to separate his trial from that of the other accused.

A division bench comprising Justice JN Patel and Justice Roshan Dalvi, however, stayed the framing of charges against Salem for his involvement in the actress Manisha Koirala's personal secretary Ajit Diwani and businessman Pradeep Jain murder cases.
