Two bottles of 200-year old champagne salvaged from a Baltic Sea shipwreck will be auctioned off in Aland, an autonomous territory under Finnish sovereignty at an exclusive champagne auction on June 3.

Two bottles of 200-year old champagne salvaged from a Baltic Sea shipwreck will be auctioned off in Aland, an autonomous territory under Finnish sovereignty at an exclusive champagne auction on June 3.

They are part of a batch of 150 champagne bottles divers found last July in a two-masted schooner which had run aground sometime between 1825 and 1830. The bottles have been identified as the world’s oldest Juglar and Veuve Clicquot brands.
