Official sources said that these five cities were chosen, after an ADB official recently visited the northeastern states to assess the required developments for each state. The grant will be utilised for the expansion of water supply mechanism, renovation of roads, development of slums, management of landslide-affected areas and the maintenance of walls in and around the cities.
