THE DISTRICT administration has warned the people not to indulge in violent activities against the ongoing anti encroachment drive in the city, otherwise the administration may take a tough stand against the agitators. This was made clear by Divisional Commissioner Dr Lalit Verma in a joint meeting with administration, traders, police, Allahabad Development Authority and Nagar Nigam officers here on Monday. Commissioner appealed to the citizens to extend their active support in removal of illegal constructions on roads because the drive was being carried out as per the directives of the Allahabad High Court.

He urged the citizens not to lie down before bulldozers or JCB machines, in order to make their city clean and beautiful.

If this directive was not followed, then the administration would take stern action against those who came out on the roads in protest against the anti-encroachment drive. DM Amrit Abhijat said that those who had encroached should demolish their structure themselves . He advised the citizens not to take law in their hands .
