Air Marshal Chaturvedi visits Air Force Station

AIR MARSHAL KS Chaturvedi, VSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command of the Indian Air Force arrived on an official visit at the Air Force Station, Manauri on Saturday. He was received at Bamrauli Airport by Air Commodore S Sriram, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Manauri.

AIR MARSHAL KS Chaturvedi, VSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command of the Indian Air Force arrived on an official visit at the Air Force Station, Manauri on Saturday. He was received at Bamrauli Airport by Air Commodore S Sriram, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Manauri.

A graduate of BITS Pilani, the Air Marshal was commissioned in the Indian Air Force on July 7, 1969. During the illustrious service of 36 years, he has served in front line squadrons and repair depots of both fighter and transport aircraft involved in giving life extension to aircraft in Indian Air force inventory.

He has commanded a premier Transport Aircraft Base Repair Depot and also an important radar/communication repair depot. He has undergone courses abroad on Russian Fighter aircraft and is a veteran in flight safety system.Before taking over the reins of Maintenance Command as the AOC-in-C, he has held many important assignments including those of the senior maintenance staff officer at Training Command and Air officer-in-charge Maintenance at Air Headquarters. He is also a keen golfer and fond of outdoor sports. He was awarded the Vishist Seva Medal (VSM) by the President of India for his outstanding service in 1986.
