This is the second time when a terrorist has been found to have links in Santhal Parganas. Police had raided Mihijam locality in Jamtara district in connection with Hydrabad Mecca Masjid blast some months back.

Godda SP Biglal Oraon confirmed the police arrested Rahman, who is suspected of having links with the Lashkar-e-Taeba.

The CID team arrived from Rajasthan on Thursday, the SP added. According to reports, Rahman had been residing at Sardar town in Churu district of Rajasthan for the last six years. Rahman, a science graduate, was working at a local Madrasa as Hindi teacher, the police said. A CBI team had raided Mihijam locality in Jamtara district about a fortnight ago in the same case.

The Hydrabad police had earlier confirmed that the terrorist had purchased SIM card from the Mihijam market and used it to trigger the Mecca Masjid blast.
