Former chief minister and BJP's national vice-president Kalyan Singh said that all major political parties — the Bahujan Samaj Party, the Congress and the Samajwadi Party — were engaged in 'Islamisation of politics' through appeasement of the minority community and as such now there was a war between 'Hinduism and Islamisation'.

Addressing a meeting of the BJP office-bearers, regional and district presidents and secretaries, convenors in-charge of Vidhan Sabha constituencies, party leaders and others at the state BJP headquarters on Saturday, Kalyan Singh ruled out possibility of a pre- or post-poll alliance with any party and underlined the need for effective, timely and proper implementation of the election strategy.

He claimed the BJP would ultimately emerge a winner in the ongoing war of 'terrorism versus nationalism' and asked the workers to take a pledge to go it alone and win the coming Vidhan Sabha election with a clear majority.

It was resolved at the meeting that demonstrations and rallies would be held at district headquarters all over the state on November 17 in protest against goondaism, booth-capturing, rigging and blatant misuse of the government machinery by the Samajwadi Party in the civic poll.

Also a decision was taken to take out an anti-terrorism march in Ayodhya and Varanasi on November 20 and 21 respectively to lodge protest against weak stand of the UPA government on terrorism and political parties campaign for clemency to Afzal.

Speaking on the occasion, national organising secretary Sanjay Joshi said that although publicity campaign and posters etc helped in creating an atmosphere in favour of any political party, personal contact with voters was the best way of campaigning and creating awareness.

All the speakers at the meeting thanked people for their support to the BJP in the recently concluded civic poll while representatives of different districts presented detailed poll results of their respective areas for analysis.
