His guru may have predicted victory of the anti-reservation agitators, but Union HRD minister Arjun Singh bears him no grudge. Singh rushed a team of doctors to Mauni Baba's ashram here, after the sage complained of chest pain.

The doctors flew in on a chartered plane. It is believed that the plane was sent to take Baba to Delhi for treatment but the doctors and industrialist Rajeev Gupta, who arrived with them, flew back in the evening without Baba.
Singh's daughter Veena Singh and her husband too landed here and headed straight to the ashram. One Dr Sahi, a cardiologist from Delhi, accompanied them.
Though the ashramites at Ganga Ghat were not ready to share any information on the Baba's health, sources in the administration confirmed that they had received information that Mauni Baba was not feeling well and a team of doctors was arriving here in a special aircraft to examine him and decide about future course of action.
