Army chief visits forward areas in J&K

Army chief General V K Singh today visited the forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) on the last day of his two-day tour to Jammu and Kashmir.

During his visit, General Singh interacted with the troops deployed along the LoC, a defence spokesman said.

He was accompanied by Army Commander, Northern Command and General Officer Commanding Srinagar-based Chinar Corps.

The Army chief was seen off at the airport by Lt Gen B S Jaswal, Army Commander, Northern Command and Lt Gen N C Marwah, GOC-Chinar Corps, the spokesman said.
