All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU), the refugees, the state and the Central government should start dialogue on the resettlement of the thousands of Chakma-Hajong refugees staying illegally in the state for years, APCC Working President Takam Sanjay told a press conference in Itanagar. The Centre should offer a financial package for the purpose, he added.

"We feel if the Central government becomes a little more serious about the issue, a solution would emerge," he said.

Asked if the Congress apprehends any fresh agitation over the issue, Sanjay said the chakmas would have to leave the state and the view of all political parties in the state is the same on this.

AAPSU is spearheading the agitation for deportation of the refugees for long and they should not be underestimated, he said.
