Bangladesh's main opposition Awami League party will end its one-year boycott of parliament, a party spokesman said on Wednesday.
HT ImageThe Awami League party's 56 lawmakers have been boycotting parliament since January 31 last year, accusing the government of autocratic behavior.
"We have decided to go to the parliament very soon," Awami League's general secretary, Abdul Jalil, told reporters.
He did not provide any fixed date but said party chief Sheikh Hasina, a former prime minister, will finalise the date.
