Bahadurgarh land transfer for Nuclear Energy centre challenged in HC

Taking up a public interest litigation alleging that a large chunk of common village land in tehsil Bahadurgarh of Jhajjar district was sold to the union government's department of Atomic Energy for setting up of centre of excellence of Nuclear Energy without the approval of the village panchayat, the Punjab and Haryana high court has issued notice of motion to the Haryana government.

The petition filed by village panchayat Kheri Jasaur and Jasaur Kheri challenging sale of land measuring 207 acres, 7 kanal and 13 marlas last year, came up for hearing before the division bench headed by acting chief justice MM Kumar on Friday.
