Balaji, Nehra make a comeback

Karthik and Gambhir too have been included in squad for 1st Test vs Pak.

Wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik was on Saturday included in a 14-member Indian squad for the first cricket Test against Pakistan beginning in Mohali on March 8.

Pacemen Laxmipathy Balaji, Irfan Pathan and Ashish Nehra have all made a comeback into the squad after injury induced lay-offs.

Yuvraj Singh also found a berth in the team announced by Board for Control of Cricket (BCCI) secretary SK Nair after a meeting of the national selection committee.

Sachin Tendulkar, who had skipped most of the domestic matches after the Bangladesh tour to rest an injured elbow, was included in the squad to be captained by Sourav Ganguly.
