Bank services in Tripura paralysed

Services in nationalised banks throughout Tripura came to a grinding halt on the first day of the two-day countrywide strike called by trade unions.

Services in nationalised banks throughout Tripura came to a grinding halt on Thursday on the first day of the two-day countrywide strike called by trade unions.

Trade union sources said, about 1700 employees of 23 nationalised and private banks joined the strike to press for their demands including revision of pay scales.



Bank employees also demonstrated before different banks in the state.
