Biggest boob job puts doctor's career at risk

Shiva Singh is facing an investigation for carrying out biggest ever breast enlargement, reports Vijay Dutt.

Shiva Singh, who on live television show carried out the biggest ever breast enlargement in Britain is in trouble that could bust up his career as plastic surgeon. He had fitted the porn actress Cathy Barry with record-breaking implants to achieve her wish to have the biggest breasts in the glamour world, but that is causing him problems with authorities.

Cathy's record-breaking implantation had taken three times more time than the normal operation, because Singh needed three attempts to insert the implants, which were the size of rugby balls. Cathy thereafter revealed her 34JJ bust on last Saturday on Cosmetic Surgery Live, televised by Five.

The operation has now been branded unethical. Dr Richard Nicholson, editor of the Bulletin of Medical Ethics, told the Sunday Times, that "there are some medical skills that are unethical and I would say this is one of them".
Singh is facing not only an investigation into his conduct but also whether he is qualified enough to be a consultant plastic surgeon in the National Health Service. The London Bridge hospital where he works is reportedly calling him before its committee responsible for ethics.

Singh has countered and said he is qualified to carry out the implantation and acted responsibly. He believes that his critics are trying to preserve "monopoly".

The case has re-ignited the debate over the regulation of the growing £300 million plastic surgery market. The breast implantation is much in vogue ever since the popular star Jordan went for her boob enlargement.
