Veteran BJP leader and six-time MP from Rajasthan Girdhari Lal Bhargava died following a massive heart attack here this morning, according to party sources.

He was 73. Bhargava, who represented Jaipur and was named the party’s candidate for the Lok Sabha elections, is survived by his wife, a son and three daughters.

The BJP leader, who was here to attend a Parliamentary Committee meeting, complained of uneasiness early this morning. On the advise of the doctor, he was rushed to Appollo hospital where he suffered a massive heart attack and breathed his last at 8 AM.

His funeral will be held tomorrow in Jaipur, the sources said.
