Bharatiya Janata Party leader Dharmendra Singh said religious places of a particular community were not safe and the massacre of innocent people was a heinous crime against humanity. He condemned the “mysterious silence” of human rights organisations and others on the issue.
BJP MP Yogi Adityanath also condemned the massacre of 36 members of a particular community and called upon people to be ready to launch a movement. He said the community was in deep slumber and not bothered about its future.
He stressed the need for unity among saffron organisations to launch a massive movement to mount pressure on the government to take steps to eliminate terrorists.
World Hindu Federation divisional secretary Radha Kant Verma also condemned Islamic terrorism.
He said the killings had taken place at a time when the Union Government had planned to invite the Hurriyat Conference for negotiations. Verma blamed the Congress-led UPA Government for a spurt in terrorist activity in Jammu and Kashmir.
