BSF officials on Tuesday lodged a strong protest with their Pakistani counterparts over Monday's ceasefire violation along the Indo-Pak border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The officials spoke about the ceasefire and registered their protest to Pakistan Rangers at a flag meeting today at Ballard forward post along the Indo-Pak border in Ramgarh sub-sector, BSF sources said.
Pakistani troops from Imran post had resorted to small arms firing on Ballard forward Border out Post along the international border in Ramgarh sub-sector of the district around 3.45am on Monday.
The unprovoked firing had continued for 25 minutes. There was no casualty or injury to anyone in the firing on the Indian side.
The ceasefire violation from across the border had marred the cordial atmosphere set after Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged sweets on the LoC in Poonch district.
