The tribunal set aside the MCD order on the ground that no departmental enquiry was conducted before dismissing the officials but allowed the municipal body to go ahead with the internal investigation against the officials.“The orders passed by the disciplinary and appellate authorities are quashed and set aside. The application is allowed by directing the MCD to reinstate the officials with back wages and continuity of service,” CAT Chairman V K Bali said.
The tribunal passed the order hearing the petitions filed by 13 aggrieved executive engineers alleging that disciplinary action of dismissal against them was taken without holding any inquiry.
