Divisional Forest Officer Khwaja Kamuruddin placed deputy forester Ramesh Chander and guards Inkar Chand and Devi Singh under suspension for having given clearance at a check-post to two trucks ferrying cattle to Punjab, officials said.

The said trucks were, however, intercepted by police who arrested its driver.

Police have registered a case in the matter while the forest department, too, has opened probe in this connection.
