City MP Kirron Kher was honoured with 'Maitreyi Puraskar' for her contribution to women empowerment and parliamentary practices in Pune on Saturday.
The award was presented to the MP by union minister of trasport and highways Nitin Gadkari.
Kher encouraged students present on the occasion to contribute towards the development of the country in order to bring in good, clean and transparent governance at all levels.
