R MadhavanManmandhan Ambu

, a Tamil rom-com featuring Kamal Haasan, R Madhavan and Trisha will finally go on the floors this month. Initially scheduled to flag off in May, the film was postponed following the recent volcanic eruption. “The volcanic ash cloud over Europe resulted in the shoot being pushed forward, since nearly 90 per cent of the movie is set aboard a cruise liner and will be shot in Rome, Venice, Paris, Barcelona and other European cities,” says Madhavan.

The actor has just returned from Aruba, where he had gone for a special screening of

3 Idiots

. He’ll now set sail for Europe from Mumbai on June 25. He was recently in Chennai for a two-day workshop with Haasan and Trisha, following the press conference to announce the film. The actor has also signed up for a TV game show called

Big Money

, and will start shooting for it after he returns from a month-and-a-half-long spell of

Manmadhan Ambu

. “It requires 12 odd days in three months,” he informs.

He will also be seen in

Tanu Weds Manu

, with Kangna Ranaut. Though, what he’s really looking forward to most is a break. “I want to spend some quality time with my son, Vedaant. In 10 years, I’ve done nearly 50 films and have been working nonstop for the last five years. So, a vacation would be welcome. Any new project I sign will happen only later this year.”
