SENTOSA CORPORATION, Singapore has evinced interest in providing consultancy and technical assistance in the field of tourism in the State.
Senior executives of the Corporation gave a presentation before Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Singapore on Sunday.
Several places of Sentosa Island were shown to the CM and delegation by the officials of the corporation to elucidate the business model. Sentosa Island is the fourth major resort island of Singapore and its 70 percent area is covered with forest.
The Chief Minister informed the Corporation officials about the facilities available in the State in the fields of business, industry, tourism, and for development of education. He said Madhya Pradesh was being developed as an ideal state for investment with several measures taken in this direction.
Chouhan said that keeping in view availability of low cost land, central logistic position, friendly industrial atmosphere, connectivity through rail and road and facilities being provided in the state, a saving of almost 21 to 35 percent was noted in comparison to investment in other developed states of the country.
He also informed about the Upper Lake of Bhopal, Indira Sagar, Bargi and Bhedaghat on the occasion. Chouhan and the delegation were received by the acting commissioner of India at Singapore airport.
