Giving this information to medipersons here on Saturday, district magistrate Rajiv Agrawal said Rs 1 crore had been estimated for the preparation of cheque distribution ceremony.

Agrawal said that youths of Varanasi and Chandauli districts would get the cheques under the schemes. “Total 37000 people will benefit under Kanya Vidya Dhan Scheme and Unemployment Allowance Scheme in Varanasi and Chandauli districts”, he said.

Giving the break-up, he said that in Varanasi, total 18, 653 youths would get cheques under Unemployment Allowance scheme. “Out of 18, 653 youths, 12913 are males whereas 5740 are females”, he said and added that a cheque of Rs 3, 500 would be distributed to each youth under Unemployment allowance scheme.

“Under Kanya Vidya Dhan Scheme, 6302 girls will get cheques in Varanasi. A cheque of Rs 20,000 will be distributed to each aspirants.”, he said.

“In Chandauli, 7253 youths will get cheques under Unemployment scheme. Out of these, 5739 are males and 1414 are females”, he said and added that total 4637 girls would get cheques under Kanya Vidya Dhan Scheme.
