CM to give letters to candidates

Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav will distribute letters to candidates for BTC Urdu, at CMS Auditorium, here on Saturday. As per the programme, the Chief Minister will hand over letters to 5000 candidates in the afternoon to join the Urdu BTC training in various districts of the State. Special buses have been arranged from district headquarters to ferry the BTC candidates to Lucknow. The State Government has also decided to provide the candidates with food and lodging in Lucknow.

As per the programme, the Chief Minister will hand over letters to 5000 candidates in the afternoon to join the Urdu BTC training in various districts of the State. Special buses have been arranged from district headquarters to ferry the BTC candidates to Lucknow. The State Government has also decided to provide the candidates with food and lodging in Lucknow.

The candidates, who have already started flocking to the city, were put up at 23 schools and six guest house, sources said.

Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister will give away ‘unemployment allowance’ to the youths of Bareilly division. The allowance is being given to candidates registered with various employment exchanges up to February 28, 2006. Chief Minister will also distribute the cheques of the ‘Kanya Vidya Dhan’ scheme and address a public meeting at the MJP Rohelkhand University at Bareilly. Chief Minister will also take part in a programme of Uttar Pradesh Bhasha Sansthan at Ganna Sansthan Auditorium in the State later in the evening.

Panel to meet CM: A Fakhruddin Ali Ahmad Memorial Committee delegation led by chairman Mohd Hasan will meet Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, here on July 26, to press for various demands, including increase in the annual budgetary allocation to Rs 1 crore.

Giving this information in a press statement, Hasan said the Committee’s annual budget at present was only Rs 15 lakh, which, according to him, was too low to meet the department’s requirements. He said that the delegation would demand the CM to increase the budget. Besides, the delegation will also demand State minister status for the Committee’s chairman as well as for those of Urdu Academy, and Hindi Sansthan as accorded to the chairmen of the Sanskrit Sansthan and the Bhasha Sansthan, he said.
