Fog ebbed on Tuesday after affecting normal life for two days in the national capital and nearby areas even as cold conditions strengthened with maximum temperature dropping by four degrees below normal.

All flights were on schedule, Indira Gandhi International Airport sources said.

Trains services, however, remained partially affected due to foggy conditions in other parts of the country, the Railways sources said.

The maximum temperature was 18.1 degrees celsius, four below normal, and the minimum was normal at 7.3 degrees celsius, the Meteorological Department said.

The sky would remain clear and minimum would be around seven degrees celsius on Tuesday, it said.

Mist or fog is likely to hit back on Wednesday in Delhi and nearby areas, it added.
