THE CONGRESS workers today began an indefinite dharna here in protest against the naming of the new bus stand coming up here after the late Vijayaraje Scindia replacing the name her son the late Madhavrao Scindia.

The Congress office-bearers said the proposal to name the bus stand after the late Madhavrao Scindia was passed earlier. However, on January 25, a meeting of the district planning committee presided over by Madhya Pradesh School Education Minister Narottam Mishra was held in which it was decided the bus stand would be named after the late Vijayaraje Scindia instead.

To protest against this decision, the Congress workers have begun an indefinite dharna from Friday.
