Government Railway Police personnel took Prasad into custody as soon as the victim, Mohammad Shahabuddin, shouted “yehi hai, sir (he is the person, sir)” during a test identification parade at the Sri Krishna Medical College hospital here on Saturday.

Shahabuddin’s left leg had to be amputated at the hospital after he was pushed out of the moving train on Thursday because he refused to pay the constable a bribe of Rs 10.
