Court orders registration of FIR against Lalu
A local court ordered the police to register a FIR against Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and four others in connection with the collapse of a rail overbridge in Muzaffarpur claiming three lives on February 16 last.
A local court on Monday ordered the police to register a FIR against Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and four others in connection with the collapse of a rail overbridge in Muzaffarpur claiming three lives on February 16 last.
Hearing a petition filed by one Ashok Kumar Singh, who lost his wife in the overbridge collapse, Chief Judicial Magistrate J K Sinha ordered the district police to register a FIR against the minister, Executive Director of IRCON, a construction company, B P Singh and three other company officials.
The three IRCON officials are the General Manager, Gunashekharan, Deputy Project Manager A K Singh and one Rakesh Roshan.
The court also asked the police to complete the probe soon.
The judge directed the police to lodge the FIR with Kaji Mohammedpur Police station in the town under the jurisdiction of which the incident occurred.
