Team India spearhead S Sreesanth on Saturday could not exercise franchise in the second phase of Kerala assembly elections.

He missed out on the opportunity as he could not register himself as a voter earlier owing to his preoccupations in bringing laurels to the country in the gentlman's game.

The 23-year-old pacer did not vote because his name did not figure in the electoral rolls in his home constituency Kothamangalam in Ernakulam district, where polling is being held.

"Between playing matches and everything, I just could not go and register (as a voter)," he said over phone from Bangalore, where he is on a visit.

However, he said, the rest of his family, including his mother, father and brother, would vote.
