Cyrus Broacha is back to doing what he does best, making bakras out of hapless people.

Starting April 19, Broacha’s MTV Bakra will be back after a one-and-a-half year hiatus. We spoke to Broacha who deadpanned witticisms about his plans for the show this time around.

So Bakra is back?
Yes, because wherever we went, it didn’t matter to people what new shows we were making.

 Bakra once more!

They always asked about getting Bakra back and since the creative heads at MTV are really short of new ideas, it seemed better to get our old show back in a new sort of way.

I’m really hoping that this time the audience of eight people will increase to 10.

What’s new?
The bakras I guess. Also, this time the production standards will be lower and the gags will be sickeningly funny.

Otherwise they are restricting the show to my ugliness. What do you think of bakras?

You mean the people or the goat? Ok, the goat I think is a most intelligent and smart animal. Right now, I am shooting with this bakra for the pictures and my respect for the animal has grown.

Do you like mutton?
Yes, I do, though I want to give it up. You can’t be an animal lover and eat animals at the same time.

Are you making bakris out of women this time?
No, it’s not that we are sexist but generally we target only men because I come from a family where women are strong people. If I had to target a woman, I would have to face a severe backlash from my mother and my wife. Besides, I remember once a woman had hit me when we were making a bakra out of someone, so women are out. What next?

Well, MTV is trying to sell me off to another channel but nobody is taking up the offer, so I guess we would just have to suffer each other.

So now a film is made on you – Being Cyrus?
Yeah, I know and that too by someone – Homi Adajania — who I have known for 10 years. You know, it’s really funny when people assume it’s about me. May be now I should make a film on him called Being Homi, to get back at him.

The Baap of Bakra, 12 hours of the best and the biggest MTV Bakra episodes starts at 7 am today.
