Divide and rule

I agree with the editorial Disrupting democracy (June 5) that whatever the grievance, you cannot justify damaging public and private property. And now the Gujjar leader has simply said sorry as if nothing had happened. It is time we introspect and bring some changes in the way we act.
The architects of reservation, VP Singh and Arjun Singh, must be felicitated since they have been successful in their nefarious purpose of dividing the country on caste lines. Both belong to royal families and must be feeling proud that they are still capable, in spite of falling health, of ruining the country. The UPA government should also take the blame for the present stir. The communities fighting for the ST or OBC tag would do better to fight for proper education for all, irrespective of caste or creed to compete with others.
