Excellent placement at IIFM

All the 40 students of Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) postgraduate diploma 2007 batch have got good placement. This is the 18th consecutive year of cent per cent placement of IIFM students.

Addressing the media at the IIFM premises, director Dr DK Bandyopadhyay said 33 organisations had approached the institute for recruitment .Out of them 17 were invited to the campus owing to their reputation and the packages being offered.

The organisations gave 47 offers, three being international. The prominent organisations which recruited students this year included Olam International, ICICI Bank, Aditya Birla Group and SKS Microfinance. Organisations like ICICI Prudential, HDFC Bank, IMRB, Indiabulls and NCDEX have visited the campus five times before.

The Olam International offered the highest international package of $55,000 while the highest Indian package of Rs seven lakh was offered by the IMRB. The average salary of the batch touched an all time high of Rs 6.7lakh, a 60 percent hike over the previous year.

Dr DK Bandyopadhyay said in the last three years the institute has made significant progress in all fronts. The IIFM is among 20 top B Schools including IIMs and IITs and second among the sectoral management schools.
