“Besides, we have formed five other committees to look after various aspects. We are planning a mass movement and will generate mass support. The toll is creating inconvenience to the commuters,” said Col K Bhardwaj, newly elected president of core committee.

The committees will look after the legal, coordination, finances and other aspects, said Bhardwaj. “The panel is yet to decide on the next day of protest,” he added.

There have been rising protests against the toll plazas. The residents complained that the Gurgaon expressway firm has done precious little to improve the traffic conditions. “The firm has been increasing the fares every year but the facilities have not been upgraded,” said a commuter.
