Haldipur mesmerized all with his Dhrupand-ang alaps and the distinctly formated jod in the vilambit compositions.
His serene, contemplative and introspective, drut renderings imbued with a fascinating variety of rhythmic patterns weaved a magical atmosphere. A regular broadcaster over the Bombay Station of the All India Radio and Doordarshan, Nityanand has participated in several national programmes of music and the All India Radio Sangeet Sammelan.
Vinod Gangadhar Lele accompanied Nityanand on the tabla. An acclaimed tabla master in India, Lele's style of playing is characterized by liveliness, excellent control over laya (rhythm and tempo) and impressive dexterity.
Earlier, the function started with traditional lighting of lamp by Rina Singh, school principal. It was followed by the introduction of the artiste.
Madhu Shukla, Allahabad Coordinator, SPIC MACAY was also present on the occasion.
