New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming on Wednesday survived an injury scare and would be available for the second cricket Test against India beginning here on Thursday.

Fleming underwent a scan at the Fortis Hospital here this morning and a subsequent report cleared him for playing in the series decider.
The Kiwi skipper took a knock on his head during the team's practice session on Monday evening. Though he did not immediately feel the after-effects of the blow, he complained of slight dizziness today after which he was advised a precautionary scan.
With the go-ahead to Fleming and Nathan Astle also available for the match, the Kiwis would be fielding a full-strength side on Thursday.
Astle has an injured left knee and would miss the one-day tri-series though.
