Former chief justice of Orissa High Court Gati Krushna Mishra passed away at his home in Cuttack on Monday, family sources said.

Mishra (97) is survived by two sons and two daughters.
He was ailing for the last few months. His wife had died a few months ago.
Justice Mishra was first elevated to the HC Bench as a judge in January 1962 and went on to become the chief justice of the High Court in May 1969.
He continued in the same post for over six years before retiring in October 1975.
As soon as the news of death spread in the city, eminent citizens, including judges of the High Court and members of the Bar rushed to his Madhusudan Nagar residence to pay their last respects.
The Orissa High Court was adjourned for the day as a mark of respect to the former chief justice.
