Kanshi Ram Bachao Sanghash Samiti on Friday alleged that founder of the BSP Kanshi Ram was in captivity of Mayawati and demanded that he should be freed immediately.
Talking to the media persons, the brother of Kanshi Ram, Darbara Singh and national general secretary of the Samiti Hira Lal Javdi and state president Mohar Singh said the members of the Samiti would launch indefinite dharna near Jantar Mantar at New Delhi for release of Kanshi Ram.
Hira Lal said that the Samiti would urge all the political parties, religious and social organisations to join the movement launched for the freedom of Kanshi Ram.
The office-bearers of the committee will also meet President APJ Abdul Kalama on July 31. They would submit a memorandum to the President signed
by 10 lakh people for freedom of Kanshi Ram from Maya’s captivity.
“Even the family members of Ram are not allowed to meet him. After death of Ram’s mother, Mayawati did not allow him to visit his native village in Punjab though she was cremated after four days,” Singh said.
