Fresh batch of 19 Lankan refugees arrive in TN

Police said the refugees, including five women and four children, were from Mannar and Vavuniya.

A fresh batch of 19 Sri Lankan refugees had arrived at Arichalmunai near Dhanuskodi near here on Wednesday.

Police said the refugees, including five women and four children, were from Mannar and Vavuniya. They were sent to the Mandapam transit camp after police inquiry.

Meanwhile, 169 refugees were shifted from the Mandapam transit camp to the Aliyanilai camp on Wednesday, they said.
