Girl alleges rape by stepfather for over a year

Police on Tuesday lodged an FIR against a man for allegedly raping his 14-year-old stepdaughter for over one year. The complaint was lodged by the girl’s mother when she spotted her husband Abdul Sattar (40) raping the teenage daughter at their residence in Kashmiri Gate locality of Ramgarh in the district.

The complaint was lodged by the girl’s mother when she spotted her husband Abdul Sattar (40) raping the teenage daughter at their residence in Kashmiri Gate locality of Ramgarh in the district.

Sattar has been reported absconding since Monday night. A manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.

An FIR has been registered against him on a complaint filed by the victim's mother, additional superintendent of police Rakesh Pandey said, adding that the girl had told the police that she was being sexually exploited by her stepfather for over a year.
