VARIOUS Political leaders, organisations and federations have expressed greetings to the citizens of the State on the festival of Holi.

Wishing the people on the festival of colours, State Congress president Subhash Yadav said that Holi symbolised the spirit of unity and frolic.

It promotes the message of burning down evil and condemning the wrong. State Congress vice-presidents Rameshwar Nikhra, Pratap Bhanu Sharma, Radhakrishan Garg, Shiv Kumar Urmalia, Gufran E Azam, general secretaries Deepchand Yadav, Syed Sajid Ali, Manak Agarwal, Narmada Prasad Sharma and Rajkumar Patel also extended their greetings to the people on the festival along with other party office-bearers and workers.

Members of the Madhav Jyoti Sanskritik Sangthan and Sindhu Social Circle, BHEL, also wished the people a happy and colourful Holi. Asmat Siddiqui, president, Madhav Jyoti Sangthan, said that the festival of Holi meant the celebration of all the colours. Meanwhile, members of Sindhu Social Circle have announced their programme for the celebration of Chaiti-Chand on March 30. They have appealed to all the people to celebrate the festival of colours with zest.

However, the Semi Government Employees Federation of MP has announced that its members would not celebrate the festival, citing non-payment of wages to about 20,000 workers across the State as the reason.
