Jatehdar Akal Takht, Gyani Gurbachan Singh, said on Monday that they were asked to appear before the Akal Takht on September 19 for violating 'Sikh Maryada' (code of conducts of Sikh religion).

Besides Jhinda, Avtar Singh, Arvinder Kaur, Kawaljit Singh, Joga Singh Yamuna Nagar and Hazura Singh Nambarday were asked to appear before Akal Takht for clarification into their alleged "anti-Panthic" activities at the Kurukshetra Gurdwara in Haryana.

Jatehdar alleged that the six were responsible for threatening a Sikh priest sitting before the holy Guru Granth Sahib to vacate the Gurdwara which amounted to direct violation of Sikh maryada.
