A curriculum vitae is a personalised account of a person's work experience, educational background, and skills. And if you are good at penning it, you can make a career out of it.

CV writing is the newest career option in India Inc, which is on a hiring spree.
Age is no bar and even sitting at home and working for a placement service, a CV writer can earn up to Rs 50,000 per month.

"These resume writers are highly skilled professionals who have vast experience in this field,” says Richa Malhotra of a placement agency.
"Employers hardly spend more than 30 seconds on a resume. They are not interested in history. They just want to know what he is best at," she says.

Payal Dhar, head of CV writing team with a placement portal, says the CV writer should have an upbeat profile and must be abreast of what's happening in the industry. For freshers, agencies provide them with in-house training and specialise them in a particular industry.
