Justice AM Khandwilkar on Wednesday rejected the petition filed by the two officials, who were arrested in the case filed in Thane in 2001, Special Public Prosecutor Pradeep Gharat said.
The two officers had moved the High Court after the MCOCA court in Pune granted extension to CBI for filing the chargesheet against the two officials informing that further investigations were needed.
The two officials had urged for bail on the ground that the extension of time granted to CBI for filing chargesheet was illegal.
They were arrested for allegedly helping Abdul Karim Telgi, the alleged kingpin in the multi-crore fake stamp paper racket.
