"There is no merit in the case and the petition is dismissed," Justice BD Ahmed said on a petition filed by an NGO.

The petitioner had demanded IB reports on Presidential candidates including UPA-left nominee Pratibha Patil and NDA-backed independent candidate Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.

Earlier this week, the Court had imposed a cost of Rs 25,000 on the petitioner while dismissing a similar petition.
In that petition, the applicant had sought a CBI inquiry into the allegations against Patil.
