Welcoming them into the party, state BJP Chief Lalit Kishore Chaturvedi told reporters that homecoming of rebels would add to feel good factor ahead of Lok Sabha elections.

So far four independent MLAs had joined the BJP, he said.

Others who rejoined BJP on March 30 are a former minister Vidhya Pathak who unsuccessfully contested assembly poll on INLD ticket after failing to get saffron party ticket and a former BJP MLA Jiya Lal Banshiwal who contested assembly polls as rebel after the party gave ticket to his younger brother instead.

Bharat Yadav, son of a former minister late Jagmal Singh Yadav, also joined the BJP on March 30.
