HP cabinet approves biotechology park in Solan

Himachal Pradesh cabient today cleared the proposal for developing of a biotechnology park, Solan district on Public Private partnership (PPP) model.

Himachal Pradesh cabient today cleared the proposal for developing of a biotechnology park, Solan district on Public Private partnership (PPP) model.

The park, to be set up over 35 acres at village Aduwal with an investment of Rs 200 crore, would generate employment for about 500 persons. The park would consist of Biotechnology Incubation Centre to be located over an area of about 1.07 acre and Biotechnology Industrial Cluster to be developed by private promoter/developer over an area of about 31.93 acres.

The park would be contributing significantly towards skill upgradation, technological improvement and capacity building of the youth of the state, chief secretary Asha Swaroop said.

The cabient approved Implementation Agreement (IA) for small hydro electric projects of upto 5 MW capacity and revised time schedule for achieving milestones for projects with more than 5 MW capacity by the Independent Power Producers (IPPs).
