Three others were also fined for parking vehicles at places other than the designated ones in the posh HUDA locality in Sector 14.

The authority issued challans asking the erring residents to pay Rs 5,000 each.

HUDA administrator Praveen Kumar, estate officer (EO) Narinder Singh Yadav along with other staff visited the locality to take stock of the anti-encroachment drive, carried out the previous day in Sector 14, Sukhrali and near Genpact on Golf Course road etc.

“We have informed shop owners not to stack their goods outside the shop premises, else they will be forced to pay challan,” said the EO.

The team warned shop owners to remove their generator sets installed behind these shops. “We will submit a memorandum to him,” said Umesh Mudgil, a member of Sector 14 Market Welfare Association.
