"I must admit I had some apprehensions earlier but I am happy that we are getting such a tremendous majority," Dikshit told reporters at her residence amid indications of the Congress party's impending win in the assembly poll.

A beaming Dikshit, who had just received her granddaughter at the Nizamuddin railway station on Thursday morning, remarked after her victory she was expected to give a gift to the youngster.

"It has to be a substantial gift from her grandmother, not merely a poll victory for her!" she chuckled.

Assembly elections took place Monday in Delhi, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
